Revitalizing the Historic Heart of
Castroville
Coming Together FOR
The Elsass
Since its founding in 1844, the city of Castroville has formed a rich history, culture, and architectural legacy of its own, with steeply pitched roofs, charming cottages, and a strong Alsatian ancestry.
Today, Castroville families are coming together to ensure the city’s legacy and identity live on for generations to come.
More than 30 Castroville families have banded together to preserve, redevelop, and revitalize the historic heart of the city through renovations and revitalization efforts.
The Elsass will preserve Castroville’s architectural history, enhance local arts and culture, and highlight the local identity of the city.

our
values
Charm is the guiding principle which pervades all of our design decisions.
We renovate using the architectural style that our ancestors would recognize.
We build with quality materials, mindful of our great, great grandchildren.
We believe neighborhoods are welcoming when they have safe, walkable, and beautiful streetscapes.
We are patient capital that thinks in decades and generations. We are not distracted by short term financial gains misaligned with our vision.
Our spaces should foster community, offering platforms for shared, public enjoyment of arts and culture.
